  • Demolition of existing retail unit retaining all existing piled foundations and ground floor slabs for reuse.
  • Construction of new larger 50,000 sqft steel framed retail unit.
  • Design of new piled foundations to accommodate extended steel frame. New fibre reinforced suspended ground floor slab on mushroom head piles.
  • Piling co-ordinated to avoid existing 900mm storm water sewer running beneath proposed extension.
  • Extensive alterations to existing drainage network and services to accommodate foundations and enlarged retail unit.
  • Close liaison with Local Authority and checking Engineer acting on behalf of insurance company regarding reuse of existing elements and the design of the suspended ground floor fibre reinforced slab.
  • All works undertaken including mezzanine and fit out works in a 24 week period.
