Design of new piled foundations to accommodate extended steel frame. New fibre reinforced suspended ground floor slab on mushroom head piles. Piling co-ordinated to avoid existing 900mm storm water sewer running beneath proposed extension. Extensive alterations to existing drainage network and services to accommodate foundations and enlarged retail unit. Close liaison with Local Authority and checking Engineer acting on behalf of insurance company regarding reuse of existing elements and the design of the suspended ground floor fibre reinforced slab.
