  • Alterations and extension of existing Grade 2 listed building including double storey height retail unit to the front and 3 storey residential unit to the middle of the site.
  • Construction of new two storey retail unit to the rear of the site after demolition of existing storage area.
  • Liaison with Canterbury Archaeological Trust to agree foundation scheme to limit disturbance to possible site of Archaeological importance.
  • Design of steel frame with piled foundations, first floor constructed in timber with lightweight roof to limit foundation depth and disturbance to the existing ground.
  • Alterations to existing central residential unit included demolition of existing first floor and installation of new first floor steel frame attached to existing reinforced concrete columns, all justified without requirement for foundation strengthening.
  • Acting as Party Wall Surveyor with adjoining Woolworths store to agree all works to the Party Wall.
